The New Year’s Celebration in Ventspils

Surrounded by an abundance of festive melodies, upon arrival of the New Year, the city centre will light up in thousands of lights. The highlights of this year and musical events held in the city will be shown on the screen on the square Lielais laukums for several hours. As usual, the New Year will arrive at 00.33.44, Ventspils local time.
The New Year’s Celebration in Ventspils
As of 4:00 p.m., the visitors will be able to see the highlights of 2021 and concerts by popular Latvian and local artists on a large screen on the square Lielais laukums. A very special festive atmosphere will be created by light installations that will be on view until the arrival of the New Year, thus allowing everyone to enjoy this festive mood at their convenience. May this festive mood warm the hearts of each and every one!

Unfortunately, due to the amendments to the national regulatory framework, there will be no fireworks this year.
