Musicians Kārlis Kazāks and Kaspars Tobis in "The Coming of Spring"

The first buds are opening on trees and shrubs, as birds are singing. On Sunday, 20 March at 17.33, the Culture Centre invites you to welcome the arrival of astronomical spring in the Mill Square by listening to the musical story "Played" by Kārlis Kazāks and Kaspars Tobius.
In the opening part of the programme, the rhythm music department of Ventspils Music Secondary School "Relief" (Aleksis Zariņš, Eduards Bariss, Oskars Nejs) will put their spring feelings into music. During the event, there will be a seed exchange point where everyone will be able to "deposit" and find seeds of plants and seedlings they like, while a microgreener from the company "Daces zaļumi" will talk about seed germination and growth. Younger visitors will enjoy the live sculptures and creative workshops where they can plant seeds in pots and decorate them.
Kārlis Kazāks is a Latvian musician and songwriter who made his debut in music in 1995 as a member of the band "Dull Doll". The musician has released nine solo albums and won the Latvian Music Recording Award. The album "Apspēlēts" by Kārlis Kazāka was created in collaboration with keyboardist Kaspars Tobis. It was nominated for the Golden Microphone Award in the Electronic Music Album category. In 2020, continuing their collaboration, the musicians presented their joint work "Pārziemošu".
The event is supported by the Ventspils City Municipality, the Ķocis shop and the company "Daces zaļumi".
