Ventspils Tourism Information Centre invites children and their parents to spend the school holidays in Ventspils!

In Ventspils, you can enjoy various activities:

1.  During the spring school holidays, Ventspils Library invites pupils to participate in events on site, and remotely - there will be an opportunity to express own talents in creative workshops, participate in educational quizzes, collectively read books and listen to reviews of the latest books, play Xbox games and table games. 2. Until 17 March, at Ventspils Creativity House, Spring Creative Workshops will offer a chance to spend the holidays, developing creative skills. Participants of these workshops will work with paper, learn to bake sweet muffins and participate in other interesting activities. Participation fee: 1.00 EUR a day. Also, each interested person is invited to attend the Planetarium of the Creative House to explore the Universe through 360-degree movies and exciting shows. Find out more: HERE
3. Until 19 March, from 13.00 - 15.00, Ventspils House of Crafts invites to attend the badge making workshop, where everyone will have an opportunity to create own spring accessory. Find out more: HERE
4. Everybody, who didn't manage to test his or her strength in the breakout game organised by Ventspils Digital Centre at the end of the last year, will have a chance to do it now, attending the "Technology Time Room". This breakout game is a great way of spending the free time together with family or friends, and finding out, which one of the group is the best at finding hidden clues. 5. Relax with your family or friends at Ventspils Water Adventure Park, where you can enjoy various activities. Find out more: HERE
   You can skate and have a fun time at the skating rink of the Olympic Centre "Ventspils". Find out more: HERE 
6. On 18 March, at 19.00, at the Concert Hall "Latvija", the only concert in Latvia will be performed by the excellent and internationally recognised violinist Vineta Sareika together with string band musicians of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. Come and enjoy! Find out more: HERE
7. On Sunday (20 March, at 17.33), the Culture Centre invites to await coming of the astronomical spring at Dzirnavu Square, listening to the musical story "Apspēlēts" by Kārlis Kazāks and Kaspars Tobis. During the event, a seed exchange point will be open, where everyone will have a chance to "deposit" and find seeds of plants and seedlings of their interest, whereas the microgreens grower from the company "Daces zaļumi" will tell about germination and growing of seeds. The smallest visitors will be entertained by live sculptures and creative workshops, where children will have a chance to plant seeds in pots and decorate them. Find out more: HERE
8. Lovers of the animal world are invited to attend Mini Zoo "Buki", where you will not only see different species and families of animals, but also be able to fondle and feed them. There are many different animals at the zoo, from larger and smaller birds, rodents, goats, lamas to camels! Find out more: HERE
9. At the cinema "RIO", you can watch a movie or cartoon on the big screen. Find out more: HERE
10. On the beautiful spring days, you can also enjoy peaceful walks in parks and squares of Ventspils city. Attractions designed for children in particular are available at the Seaside Park and "Reņķa" Garden. Also the Children's Town and the Children's Park "Fantasy" offer free entertainment for children and youth of all ages.
