Easter Fair on the Old Town Square of Ventspils

On 16 April, the market of Ventspils invites the locals and city guests to enjoy the festive atmosphere. Families with children are especially welcome.

The Easter Bunny, together with the tale character of the Children's Library "Little Onion" and the supporters "The Olympic Centre "Ventspils"", the cinema "Kino RIO", and "BurgerBārs", have prepared a festive orienteering game "In the Footsteps of the Bunny".
The orienteering game consists of 10 checkpoints. At least 8 of them must be completed within 3 hours. The game starts at 10:00 a.m. on the market square, but the awarding ceremony - at 1:00 p.m.The organisers of the event are encouraging the participants to be creative and match the visual identity of the team with the festive theme. The most creative teams will be awarded special prizes.Pre-registration is required, sending the application with the name of the team, and the name and surname of all team members to: tirgus@ventspils.lv.

The Easter Bunny encourages the participants to bring with them a boiled egg and to participate in the egg rolling competition.Children will have the opportunity to blow giant soap bubbles and play games together with their favourite tale characters.The marketgoers, on the other hand, will be able to cuddle and purchase rabbits from the farm owned by Brigita Rulle from Užava, as well as to enjoy the local delicacies.
The "BurgerBar" has prepared a special treat, offering the visitors to try real "farmer's breakfast", which will be prepared right on the market square.The psaltery master Guntis Niedoliņš will create special musical atmosphere. The musician will not only play the kokle, but also offer different types of kokle and other musical instruments for sale.
