1. Sea Festival "Sea. Love. Game"
On 9 July, as accustomed in a city by the sea, Ventspils will celebrate the Sea Festival "Sea. Love. Game". The central events with a rich programme of events will take place on the Ostas-Street promenade, where the main guest of the Sea Festival - Neptune - will be received, followed by a parade of tugboats in the harbour aquatorium. Everyone will have the opportunity to visit the market, to feel the smouldering scent of smoked fish in the air, to enjoy concerts, and to watch the interaction of sunset with the sea waves. The participants of the International Folklore Festival "Baltica 2022" will play upon the topic "Game", inviting everyone to the promenade to enjoy the concerts by nationalities living in Latvia. 2. The biker gathering "Kurland Bike Meet"
From 15 to 17 July, the annual biker gathering "Kurland Bike Meet" will take place in Ventspils. It will start with the arrival of bikers at the Ventspils Seaside Campsite on 15 July. In the course of the evening, the Latvian band "Eazy Riders" will perform, while DJ Boom will entertain the participants up until midnight. The traditional parade through the streets of Ventspils will start on 16 July at 1:00 p.m. As of 1:30 p.m., on the Ostas-Street promenade, the bikers will demonstrate their bikes to the music of the band "Moonshakers". The evening programme will feature several concerts that are to take place at the Seaside Campsite, including the performances of the bands "Atis Ieviņš & Co", "Moonshakers" and DJ Boom. 3. Street Sports and Culture Festival "Ghetto Games"
From 22 to 24 July, the anniversary Street Sports and Culture Festival "Ghetto Games" is to take place in Ventspils. World-class athletes, amateurs, and other extreme sports enthusiasts will come together in Ventspils for the tenth time to participate in the largest alternative sports and street culture event in the Baltic States - the Ghetto Games Festival 2022. The highlights of the festival this year include the Ghetto Freestyle Rap Battle, the Ghetto Fight, and the Ghetto Slam Dunk Challenge. Also this year, the Ghetto Food Festival is to take place, as the street food culture literally forms part of the diverse and multi-cultural street sports. 4. 3rd anniversary of the Concert Hall "Latvija"
On 24 July, Ventspils will celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Concert Hall "Latvija" with an event consisting of three parts - an event the official name or slogan of which is "How to Tell About Three Years to an Invisible Audience". The first two parts of the anniversary event, created by the director Laura Groza and the artist tandem "MAREUNROL'S" together with the staff of the concert hall, will include both a performative comment on the recent observations and the highlights of the third year of operation in retrospect. 5. Festival for Artisans and Artists
The House of Crafts will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a Festival for Artisans and Artists. On 30 July, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the festival will bring together both artisans and artists from all over Kurzeme. The participants will have the opportunity to buy the works of artisans and artists on a street market, as well as to participate in a wide range of workshops, such as a pottery, photography (cyanotype technique), weaving, knitting, and, of course, a culinary workshop.
