The new tourism newspaper for the 2022 autumn/winter season “Ventspils – the Best Choice for Adventure!” is out

Ventspils Tourism and Information Centre of the Ventspils City Council Administration has published its annual autumn/winter tourism newspaper which gives you some ideas for education-oriented and fun trips around Ventspils, as well as tips for leisurely walks around the city’s most beautiful places

The new tourism newspaper offers information on this year's highlights in the Concert Hall "Latvija"Ventspils Culture Centre, the Theater House "Jūras Vārti", as well as open-air events.

The publication offers a wide and varied range of activities that will be of particular interest to students planning to go on field trips. Everyone is invited to experience and feel a wide range of emotions at the new Science Centre "Vizium". Its exhibits will allow you to put yourself in the shoes of a football player, shooter, and snowboarder, to feel the power of an earthquake, to escape from a virtual maze, to ride roller coasters, and much more!In addition, get some exercise on the Adventure Park's rope trail "Cat's Path", and experience competitive spirit and extreme emotions at paintball and laser tag. 

Escape the cold and enjoy a fun day at the Water Adventure Park. Winter sports enthusiasts, on the other hand, will definitely enjoy the Ice Rink and the ski hill "Lemberga hūte".Ventspils Museum offers a wide range of educational programmes, exhibitions, and historical exhibits. The Seaside Open-Air Museum offers a unique opportunity to go on an adventure with the steam locomotive "Mazbānītis" that is more than 100 years old. 

A real Christmas dream awaits Ventspils residents and visitors at the end of November, when the city streets and Christmas trees will light up in thousands of lights. Capture a special magical feeling on the central square "Lielais laukums", where the city's main Christmas tree will be lit up, with illuminated musical instruments, and the 3.8 m high "Christmas Piano" which will be available to anyone willing to try their hand at piano playing. The newspaper provides information on future tourist attractions and ideas for walking routes.
