A concert to celebrate Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia will be held in Ventspils

On November 18, at 4 p.m., the concert hall "Latvija" invites the residents of Ventspils to attend the concert on the occasion of the National Holiday or to watch the online stream of the concert at www.ventspils.lv and www.facebook.com/ventspils.lv.

Before the concert starts, Jānis Vītoliņš, Chairman of the Ventspils State City Council, will extend his congratulations to the audience.
The concert programme, full of national patriotism and cheerfulness, will be prepared by the Operetta Theatre on the occasion of the National Holiday and will include the music, the unifying feature of which is positivism, the aesthetic beauty of melodies and harmony. The concert will feature popular songs and compositions by Latvian composers: melodies from operetta 'Annele' by Elga Īgenberga, 'Silavas valsis' by Indulis Kalniņš, 'Es vedīšu tevi uz tango', 'Kerijas un Herstvuda duets', 'Kerijas dziesma' by Raimonds Pauls, melodies from films 'Teātris', 'Elzas un Emīla duets', 'Saint-Germain bulvāris', 'Skriešus atskrien laimīte un prieks', 'Lai sasaucamies, lai dziedam!', song 'Svētī debesīs šo zemi' by Zigmars Liepiņš, etc.

The concert will also feature the chamber orchestra of the Operetta Theatre under the guidance of conductor Atvars Lakstīgala and solo singers: Sonora Vaice (soprano), Laura Purena-Kancāne (soprano), Patrīcija Kozlovska (soprano, student of the Alfrēds Kalniņš Cēsis Secondary Music School), Dainis Kalnačs (tenor), Nauris Indzeris (baritone).
The audience will also enjoy a dance performance by Terēze Megija Knauere and Reinis Rešetins. Art Director of the concert is Agija Ozoliņa-Kozlovska, choreographer - Ieva Kemlere, make-up artist - Liāna Repule. The concert will feature instrumentations by Jānis Kaijaks Sr., dance performance by Alberts Kivlenieks while the festive mood will be created with costumes by Elīna Milta-Niedrāja.
The audience will also enjoy a dance performance by Terēze Megija Knauere and Reinis Rešetins.
