Additional original author music evening concert by Linda Leen

Due to the high demand, SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija” has announced an additional original author music evening concert by Linda Leen, which is to be held on 10 December at 4:00 PM in the Concert Hall “Latvija”.
Performances will be given by the singer Linda Leen, the Ventspils Big Band, and the String Department of Ventspils Chamber Orchestra. Conductor: Aigars Meri.
The concert will feature musician's latest songs, such as "Blue Monday", "Uzar mani kā zemi", and songs from the album "Digital Church" (2017). The compositions from the albums "Chameleon" (2008) and "Ziemskaņas" (2009) will experience special renaissance of original interpretation, where the arrangements by the symphony orchestra will play a fundamental role in the performance of the compositions. These arrangements were once created in collaboration with the Hollywood-based composer Lolita Ritmanis, the film composer and arranger Chris Elliott (UK), and the trumpeter Kevin Robinson (UK).

The line-up of Ventspils Big Band includes the students and teachers of Ventspils Music School. Artistic director - Renārs Lācis who brings forward different styles of music, including popular and jazz music programmes. Concerts featuring Latvian composers and well-known musicians in Latvia have always received special public acclaim. Ventspils Big Band has performed together with world-renowned artists.
