In July, visitors to the VIZIUM Science Centre in Ventspils will be offered educational and creative activities, where through hands-on experiments and imaginative engagement they will uncover the mysteries of light, explore how the world around us works, discover optical illusions, sound, and much more! The new science show will delve into the beauty and mystery of fire, while the “3D Game Development Hackathon” will give students the chance to create their very own game.

Creative Workshops and Science Adventures at VIZIUM this July

In July, creative workshops will take place every day at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM at the Ventspils Science Centre VIZIUM. Each week offers new and exciting content: July 1 - 6

In addition, starting in July, visitors will be able to enjoy a brand-new science show titled "Before the Ashes", where we explore how fire behaves under different conditions, why it sometimes dances in colorful flames, and how to control it safely. Through surprising experiments, the power, beauty, and mystery of fire will be demonstrated - in the language of science, yet in a fun and engaging way. The science show "Science in a Box" also continues, inviting the audience to actively participate and uncover the mysteries of physics firsthand. Science shows take place every day:

4:00 PM - Before the Ashes On July 15 and 16, students in grades 4-11 are invited to participate in VIZIUM's "3D Game Development Hackathon," where everyone will have the opportunity to create their own 3D game. Throughout the day, participants will get hands-on experience with everything needed to develop a game: 3D modeling, animation, music, physics, artificial intelligence, various 3D programs, Roblox Studio tools, and coding.

Even in summer, preschool children are welcome to attend VIZIUM's "Little Explorers Workshop." Young explorers can engage in creative activities and conduct exciting experiments to learn about the STEM world in a fun and interactive way. They can also play in the Little Explorers Gallery with VIZIUM's friendly instructors, giving parents a well-deserved break. Workshops take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Six-year-olds and students in grades 1-5 can enjoy exciting and diverse STEM activities in classrooms, laboratories, and the exhibition hall. The camp offers a great opportunity to explore the world of technology and natural sciences while having fun and making new friends outside VIZIUM.
