On Saturday, October 11, the Ventspils Market will be filled with the tastes and colors of autumn — the Pumpkin Festival and the annual pumpkin contest will take place. Visitors will be treated to delicious food, handmade crafts, and creative workshops.

This year, as nature has been a little more modest with its gifts, we're looking not only for the biggest pumpkins but also the most colorful, funniest, and most unusually shaped ones. If you've grown even a single pumpkin in your garden - it's valuable! Bring it along, show it off, share its story, and give it a name.

The giant pumpkin weighing contest will begin at 11:00 AM. Pumpkins for the exhibition must be delivered on the day of the competition between 9:00 and 10:30 AM at the Carillon Clock Tower. The pumpkins will be judged in three categories: the most beautiful, the heaviest, and the most interesting name - the latter chosen by visitors through a public vote for the "People's Choice" award.
