Christmas train will start operating November 29, with The ceremonial lighting of the Ventspils Christmas tree In the main square, when the first passengers will be accepted from 18.30  at the bus stop near the Great Square.In turn, from November 30 to December 31 little train will pick up and drop off passengers at the Town Hall Square, while running on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 17.00 to 20.00, as well as on additional flights December 22, 23, 30 and 31.

During Christmas science center VIZIUM transforms into a place where technology and festive feelings meet in a unified story. From December 9 to January 6, the center's terrace becomes a Magic Forest, creating a special atmosphere and beautiful environment where everyone can feel the true Christmas spirit.

Preschool educational institutions, schools and companies are invited to register children for the event."Ziciņa's Christmas Challenge", where little researchers, together with the gnomes, must solve creative tasks that turn into a real adventure.

On weekends at the science center VIZIUM at 1:00 p.m. The creative workshop "Science Lights the Celebration" is taking place, where the Dwarf Girl will invite families on a fabulous adventure. We will discover that light can be lit not only with our hands, but also with creativity and science, while at 10.30 pre-school children will be invited to the lesson "Winter Wonders".

Ventspils Museum invites preschool, school and adult groups to special Christmas classes:

• In the craft house - "On the way to a Christmas miracle"

An exciting game in which participants solve puzzles, complete tasks, and follow clues to find the missing Christmas miracle, while strengthening observation and cooperation skills.

• In the castle of the Livonian Order - "A gift for the castle Christmas tree"

A creative workshop where, continuing the annual tradition, new decorations are made for the castle's Christmas tree. This year's theme is related to the exhibition "Printed Ventspils".

• At the Writer Herbert Dorbe Museum - "Poem under the Christmas tree"

Children get to know the 20th century living environment, bake gingerbread, design poems they have brought with them, and finally recite them at the writer's Christmas tree in the cozy atmosphere of the museum.

• At the seaside open-air museum - "Puzuru Workshop 3+3"

An opportunity to learn about the puzura as a traditional Christmas decoration and develop mathematical skills by creating a puzura together from natural materials.
