Ventspils Tourism Information Centre and LATTŪRINFO invite all representatives of Latvian tourism information centres and destinations to apply for participation in the "XI LATVIAN TOURISM INFORMATION MARKET 2026", which will take place on Saturday, May 9, simultaneously with the Ventspils Summer Tourism and Cycling Season Opening Event at the Adventure Park!
Ventspils won the right to organize the next Latvian Tourism Information Market during last year's event in Grobiņa through a lottery, and this year the event will be organized in cooperation with the Latvian Association of Tourism Information Organizations "LATTŪRINFO" and representatives of the Ventspils tourism industry.
May marks the beginning of active travel - residents plan their holidays, look for new destinations and inspiration for trips here in Latvia. In addition, Ventspils has been opening its summer tourism and cycling season for the past 16 years at the beginning of May with traditional bike rides around the city, which this year will be complemented by the Tourism Information Market - a great place to meet potential travelers in one place, stimulate interest in your city and region, and promote the development of local tourism.

In 2025, the market in Grobiņa gathered a wide range of participants - at least 20 destinations from all over Latvia presented themselves. From Vidzeme, Madona, Cēsis, Valmiera, Sigulda, Ogre, Alūksne and Gulbene participated; from Zemgale - Bauska, Dobele and Jelgava; from Latgale - Preiļi and Līvāni. Meanwhile, in the Kurzeme tent, it was possible to obtain information about the entire vast Kurzeme - Tukums, Talsi, Kuldīga, Salda, South Kurzeme, Liepāja and Ventspils itself.
This tradition will continue in Ventspils in 2026, creating a diverse and inspiring overview of Latvia's tourism offer in one place.Considering that the event will be attended by families with children, we encourage participants to include creative and educational activities in their stands that will help visitors get to know your destination through personal experience.
