An evening of senses by the Sea: ‘Sunset Mystery’”

At the height of summer, on June 20, when the sea meets the fiery hues of the sunset, everyone is invited to experience the seaside sensory evening “Sunset Mystery” on Ventspils Beach. On this special evening, fire, sound, and nature will intertwine in a unique experience, allowing visitors to feel the magical power and presence of the Summer Solstice.
The event will begin at approximately 10:30 PM with the creation of a communal Fire Path, leading from the Seaside Open-Air Museum to the beach via Boardwalk No. 6.
As the evening unfolds, a Summer Solstice fire ritual will invite participants to surrender to the rhythm of nature, light, and inner harmony.

Following the ritual, the beach will be filled with an atmospheric sound journey led by multi-instrumentalist Kārlis Rudra ("Rudra Beat"). Through improvisation and the sounds of various instruments, the artist will create a meditative and deeply immersive ambiance, transporting listeners into a peaceful and magical world of sound.
For centuries, the Summer Solstice has been a time for people to pause, experience the grandeur of nature, and draw strength from the peak of the light season. With its vast shoreline, sea breeze, and evening tranquility, Ventspils Beach offers a unique setting to experience this ancient tradition in a contemporary way.
Admission is free of charge.
The event is supported by the Ventspils State City Municipality and organized by the association Saule i tuvāk.
