On July 11, the Sea Festival “Underwater Flower Dance” will take place in Ventspils with a diverse and colorful program, bringing together residents and guests of the city for one of the most anticipated events of the summer by the Baltic Sea.

The Sea Festival is one of the most important and beloved traditions of the Ventspils seaside. This year, the festival program will also offer concerts, sports activities, family-friendly entertainment, art events and other events dedicated to the sea.

The festive mood will enter Ventspils as early as July 10, when visitors will be delighted by a festive market, activities for families, and the "Gunta Skrastiņš Song and Song Festival".
The main festive events are expected on July 11, when the new part of the Ostas Street promenade will welcome Neptune, the Lord of the Sea. Throughout the day, the Daile Theatre actor ensemble "Ilga", the winner of the show "X Factor" Jurģis Namejs Zvejnieks and the legendary band "Lādezers" will perform on stage.
In the improvised "Fishermen's Farm", there will be an opportunity to experience the authentic life of fishermen, participating in mending nets, smoking fish, cooking fish soup together, a master class on kilavu, dancing and playing. In the "Fisherman's Son" challenge, the strongest and most agile participants will be determined through various tests. The Ventspils Youth House with educational games and the Support Centre "Cimdiņš" with an exhibition of creative works and a charity market will also participate in the festive program.
The evening's program will culminate with a concert by the popular Latvian band "Sudden Lights". After that, everyone who wants to party is invited to the nightclub "Silrak", where DJs and rapper Prusax will take care of the musical atmosphere until dawn.
Meanwhile, for the youngest festival visitors, the Sea Festival activities will continue on July 12, both at the Seaside Open-Air Museum, as well as at the Children's Town and the children's park "Fantāzija".
