"Ghetto Games in Ventspils is a major street sports and youth culture event that attracts a wide range of participants and spectators every year. It promotes an active lifestyle, strengthens youth involvement in sports, and helps develop team spirit and mutual respect."Ventspils City Municipality highly appreciates the contribution of such initiatives to the city's sports and cultural life, as well as to promoting Ventspils' visibility. We support events that provide young people with opportunities to develop their skills and spend their free time meaningfully," emphasizes Guntis Blumbergs, First Deputy Chairman of the Ventspils City Municipality Council for Cooperation.
"GGFEST has become more than a sports festival - it is a place where participants challenge themselves, discover new passions and inspire each other to move. Balcia has been a part of this story for several years, because we believe that an active lifestyle begins with the courage to try something new, while confidence comes from feeling safe. We want to create an environment where more and more people choose movement, adventure and a healthy lifestyle. GGFEST is a great example of how these values are transformed into real experiences. We are happy to continue this cooperation and together promote Latvia to become a place where increasingly ambitious active lifestyle events with international significance are created," emphasizes Edgars Korzāns, Head of Business for Latvia at Balcia.
"The Ghetto Games festival is my family's favorite event of the year. I'm looking forward to it and plan to run, jog, and possibly play a quest. Also, this year, a great adventure will be the run from Riga to Ventspils with all the representatives of the sport, it's such a big event this year. It will also be very interesting to watch the Nations League and see how the Latvian national team will do in it. It's clear that every sport brings something new every year, including this year's 5-on-5 five star cup football, which is also something unique. We will try to surprise ourselves and then we will also manage to surprise the visitors. See you in Ventspils!" says Raimonds Elbakjans, leader of Ghetto Games
