Craftsmen quartersA place to get stunned by the variety and quality of hand-made applied art items - hand weaved blankets, belts, table cloths and scarfs, neckerchiefs, socks and gloves, national dresses, ladies hats, ceramics, wreaths, amber and silver bijou. An opportunity to look at the longest amber beads in Latvia in the House of Craftsmen .

Today Schreder’s house is the House of Craftsmen where one can have a look at the world’s longest amber necklace.In 2003 a campaign called “Leave your amber to Liepāja!” was organised in Liepāja, as a result of which the world’s longest amber necklace was made of the amber pieces donated by the Liepāja residents. It is 123 m long and weighs 19.5 kg.

Here everyone has an excellent opportunity not only to see and buy handicraft works but also to watch how the masterpieces of craftsmen are made in the Saiva Applied Arts Studio.
