The windows of the villa offer a wonderful view of the widest waterfall in Europe - the Venta waterfall, the old brick bridge, and the Town Garden, created on the site of the former castle of the Livonian Order.

Here we invite you to step back in time to the beginning of the 20th century and explore the life of a wealthy Kuldīga resident in our permanent exhibition "An Apartment of a Wealthy Local at the Beginning of the 20th Century". In the gentleman's study marvel at the extensive card collection of Jānis Mētra - one of the largest card collections in the Baltics. Kuldīga old town is now included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Uncover the fascinating history of it in the exhibition "Kuldīga Before Us". Also, don't miss the temporary art and history exhibitions at the Villa Bangert!
