Since 1997, a search for military burial sites and the reburial of the soldiers have been carried out.

Currently there are approximately 25 000 German soldiers reburried at the cemetery, but the work is carried on because the research for the military burial sites is still ongoing. From May to October an informative exhibition on Courland Battles is displayed to the public in the memorial room of the cemetery. A register of the soldiers buried at the cemetery is available.
