The well-kept nature trail leads to the Gulf of Riga coastline rarity – Ēvaži Steep (up to 15m high, its vantage platform offers a most scenic view of the gulf) and coastal forests. 

Ēvaži Steep is the highest steep of the entire coastline of the Gulf of Riga, second only to Jūrkalne Steep. Driving along the Riga–Kolka highway, the steep can be found at the very border of the Slītere National Park.

The steep top opens a panorama of the sea while, weather coonditions permitting, the steep itself can be seen from as far as the cape of Kolka.
