This circular trail features a unique landscape of parallel rampart-type sand dunes and grassy swamps among the dunes.

The boat cemetery was created after year 1960 because the border guards did not allow to burn them at the coast as it used to be done before on the Midsummer eve.

The well-kept nature trail leads to the Gulf of Riga coastline rarity – Ēvaži Steep (up to 15m high, its vantage platform offers a most scenic view of the gulf) and coastal forests. 

It was fixed and built up in the 17th century to use the stream to operate the first paper-mill in Kurzeme.

The Ziemupe nature restricted territory is on the shore of the Baltic Sea, and it protects a wide variety of coastline biotopes.

Established in 1999, however, the area has been protected already since 1957. Park area is 14 933 ha. The nature park has been created in Abava valley – an ancient valley formed by the melting glaciers in Latvia.

Once a restricted territory, the promenade is now a place for pleasant strolls. The highest point, reached by a wooden walkway, overlooks the port with its small ships, yachts and a fountain designed like a wave rolling

The fortress was built at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century to protect the Liepāja Naval Base in the event of a possible enemy attack. The fortification system bordered the entire city.

The Northern Wavebreaker is 1800 m long and 7.35 m wide. The structure was built at the end of the 19th century. The Northern Wavebreaker protects the aquatorium of the Liepāja Port from storms and sand drift.
