The Slavic Seasonal Event "Svjatki" will be celebrated with festive concerts in Ventspils from 8 to 18 January.

Parish Day – a celebration, in which representatives of Ventspils region are proud of their cultural and historical heritage, while Ventspils residents and city guests enjoy the goods brought from the countryside – will take place in Reņķa Garden on September 1.

With diverse activities on August 30 at eleven spots in Ventspils – squares and streets, the summer Friday Evening Walk “In Another Light” will take place. This evening walk will focus on well-known and brand new places, things, routes, values. To rediscover, find out what is forgotten, see in another light, but above all enjoy the joy of meeting, the excitement of participating, and enjoy the time spent together.

The annual ”Night of Ancient Fire” will take place on Saturday, August 31, at 21:00 on Staldzene steep coast beach.

On Saturday, August 17, the trail run series “Roe Buck” (“Stirnu buks”) will take place in Ventspils, where participants will compete in 5 different distances and it is planned that there will be a total of 3,000 runners. The start and finish of the race will be at the Beach Waterpark.

The annual Latvian Nordic Walking Festival, taking place in Ventspils for the 10th year in a row, is approaching rapidly. This year, the festival will be held on Saturday, August 10, with a joint start at 11:00 for both 5.3km and 10km distances. As usual, fashion show will take place before the start, and this year's theme is associated with a birthday party, and participants will be welcomed to arrive in festive birthday party-related outfits that will be demonstrated 20 minutes before the sta

The idea to establish master course for young pianists in one of the regions of Latvia occured to one of the leaders and organizers of these courses, French pianist and teacher Antoine Bouvy. Riga was spoiled with such type of events, but they were rare in the regions.
