On Wednesday, 29 December, at 7:00 p.m., the Concert Hall “Latvija” offers a New Year’s concert “The New Era” performed by the women’s choir of the Ventspils Culture Centre “Venda”. The outstanding female voice performance will be complemented by the performance of the special guests – the band “Sudden Lights”.

As of Wednesday, 22 December, 3:00 p.m., the beginner slope is available on the snow hill. Reservations of the beginner slope for 22 and 23 December can be made through the application Bookla and through the website www.lembergahute.lv.

As the Christmas draws near, as of the First Advent Sunday, the Christmas decorations are lighting up the city. The Ventspils Tourism Information Centre has prepared a guide of Christmas walking routes “Ventspils Under the Christmas Lights” and invites the locals and city guests to enjoy the festive mood, discovering the decorated Christmas trees during walks and taking ride by the “Christmas Train”.

Santa Claus, the Dwarf, and the Elf are actively making all the Christmas preparations! They are preparing a musical Christmas Bus to travel across the entire country, and from 17 December until the last day of the year, it will visit everyone willing to hear, see, and feel the holiday spirit. The bus is expected to stop by the city of Ventspils on 17 and 18 December.

The end of the year is always a busy time – dwarfs, children, and adults are on a holiday rush, making gifts and decorations.

On Sunday, 5 December, the eccentric Finnish accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen who always challenges himself and his spectators will perform at the concert hall Latvija in Ventpils.
