From September 24 to 26, Liepāja Art Forum ’21 invites audiences to join a celebration of contemporary art discoveries for the seventh time. 10 brilliant events will offer contemporary music, visual and movement art, as well as two performance premieres for families and three cinematic artworks. The festival program features artists from Belgium, France, and Latvia, and it is traditionally organized by Concert Hall Great Amber.

As of Tuesday, 21 September, after a longer break, the area of water attractions and SPA in the Water Adventure Park will reopen.

On 26 September at 16:00 o’clock, the Maestro Raimonds Pauls and the peculiar singer from Kurzeme Region Ance Krauze are to perform in Ventspils, in the Concert Hall “Latvija” with the concert programme “The Frozen Sea”.

On 25 September, after a long break, another concert within the contemporary music cycle “Ma” will take place in Ventspils, in the Concert Hall “Latvija”. This time, the Finnish percussion virtuoso and sound artist Tatu Rönkkö will take the stage.

On 14 October, one of the most experienced and world-renowned male choirs, namely, the male-voice choir “Orphei Drängar” from Uppsala, Sweden, will take the stage of the Ventspils Concert Hall “Latvija”, performing a specially created musical programme.

On 8 October, at 19.00, at the Concert Hall “Latvija”, Ventspils Big Band will be joined on the stage by the well known Dutch trombonist, composer and arranger Ilja Reijngoud.

On Saturday, 18 September 2021, in the Concert Hall “Latvija”, two brilliant pianists – Vicky Chow from the United States of America and Reinis Zariņš, a Riga-based pianist and winner of multiple Great Music Prizes – will give a double piano concert “Autumn Works”.

On 27 August 2021, in the evening, the residents and guests of the city are welcome to take a Friday evening walk through the city streets, discovering the most beautiful places, squares and parks. We will carry on the spring walk, and the moving objects located throughout the city will be complemented by musicians, dancers and a wide range of activities that encourage us to always be on the move.
