With the favourite and truly most awaited national celebration just around the corner, the Ventspils Tourism Information Centre encourages you to take a look at the summary of the Midsummer's Eve celebration to learn more about the most beautiful and in terms of traditions richest events in Ventspils and its surroundings.

The long-awaited moment has come! Already on this weekend, on 18 June, at 12.00 o'clock, solemn opening of the Science Centre VIZIUM will take place, offering an extensive festive programme.

For the thirteenth time, Ventspils District Municipality invites solstice participants from all over Latvia to come together in Jūrkalne on June 21 at 20:00 to experience the magic of the solstice night together. The folk-rock group "Iļģi" will make music, Rīgas Danču klubs /the Riga Dance Club/ will take part in the event.

Throughout the week, until June 12, various events of the Karosta Festival will take place.

With coming of warmer weather, from Saturday, 11 June, the summer season is opened at Ventspils Beach Waterpark. The Waterpark will be open for visitors every day from 12.00 – 21.00.

On Saturday, 2 July, everyone is invited to try something completely unusual - car photo orientation in the dark, using a standard motor road map and a flashlight in your pocket.

On 31 May 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the order of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development “On the supported municipal high-readiness targeted grant investment projects in 2022”, in the framework of which funding for construction of the Toboggan Track on the ski hill “Lemberga hūte” in Ventspils has been granted.
