The Ventspils Tourism Information Centre (TIC) is about to launch the most significant tourism publication of this year – “Enjoy the Summer in Ventspils!”, which will contain information on the summer highlights in the city, tourism, recreation, and leisure opportunities, as well as the most beautiful sites in the city and tourism news.

On 12 June, the Concert Hall “Latvija” will welcome the organist Anna Homenya with her solo concert “Le Salon à Paris”.

Shortly before the Solstice, on 18 June, the new Science Centre VIZIUM will open its doors to its very first visitors, allowing them to explore the exciting world of science, technology, and engineering. The Science Centre is unique not only because of its architecture, but also because of its exciting content. However, you can be sure that the VIZIUM has many more surprises up their sleeve!

The "Secrets of Ventspils" offer the very first urban cycling-photography orienteering game of this summer, which will give the participants the opportunity to explore the old town on Ventspils and the promenade of the Ostas-Street, thus allowing them to see the city from another angle and to discover things that usually go unnoticed.

On 22-24 July, the anniversary street sports and culture “Ghetto Games Festival” will take place in Ventspils, informs the portal balticevents.info.

From 3 to 5 May, a new collaboration project “Theatre Festival No. 1” is to be implemented in Ventspils, the Theatre House “Jūras vārti”, and the Ventspils urban environment, which aims at informing the residents of the Kurzeme Region about the most current developments in the field of Latvian contemporary theatre, as well as bringing together the professionals of this field to jointly think about the future of the performing arts, the related issues, and their possible solutions.

On 29 May, children, teachers, parents, and city guests will go on a grand, loud parade “The Sea of the Rhythm”, marching from the square Lielais laukums to the Children’s Town, in order to officially open the Children’s Festival “The Wonderland”.

On 11 June, in the Concert Hall “Latvija” in Ventspils, the end of the season will be celebrated with a long-awaited event – the premiere of the quintuple concert “Four Angles” by the composer Krists Auznieks.

On 29 May, the round anniversary of the outstanding Greek composer, architect and unorthodox Iannis Xenakis will be celebrated by a spectacular two-part concert “Εκατό Χρόνια” or “One Hundred Years” in Ventspils, at the Concert Hall “Latvija”.
