On September 6 and 7, the national dog expositions for all breeds, organized by the traditional Ventspils Animal Breeders Association, will take place in Ventspils, in the square next to the Beach Water Park (Loču iela 30). The event will bring together around 900 dogs from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden and Poland. This year, 84 dogs from Ventspils, representing 38 breeds, will also compete for the title of the most beautiful representative of their breed.

At the Livonian Order Castle, you’ll have the chance to embark on an exciting twilight walk and explore the 13th-century castle walls together with the Lady of the Castle. During the tour, you might even encounter a ghost or another unusual figure from the past. In the castle tavern, participants of Legend Night will be treated to medieval snacks and drinks!

The Ventspils Regional Festival will be held on September 6, 2025, in the Pope Manor Park, Church, and Stage, bringing together the region's amateur art groups, outstanding locals, and professional musicians.

On August 30, at the Staldzene Cliffs, as part of the “Night of Ancient Bonfires,” a special musical experience will take place – Rihards Zaļupe, co-author of the music for the Oscar-winning film The Flow, together with one of Latvia’s brightest voices, Linda Leen, will perform a specially created collaboration, Ceremony. On Saturday, October 11, the Ventspils Market will be filled with the tastes and colors of autumn — the Pumpkin Festival and the annual pumpkin contest will take place. Visitors will be treated to delicious food, handmade crafts, and creative workshops.

Ventspils Science Centre VIZIUM invites all science and magic enthusiasts to the spookiest event of the year! A true Halloween enchantment will take over the VIZIUM foyer — mad scientists, together with little ghosts, wizards, witches, and monsters, will create an unforgettable adventure where science meets magic! Participation in the event is free of charge!

On Sunday, September 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Concert Hall “Latvija" will feature a large-scale grand concert "FROM THE LAND OF LET’S. Baltic Unity Day", which will be attended by more than 200 singers from Latvia and Lithuania, Ventspils Chamber Orchestra, actress Zane Jančevska, flautist Andis Klučnieks, conductors Rasa Gelgotiene, Regina Maleckaite, Sandra Rimkute-Jankuviene, Judita Kjaulakīte, Ilze Valce and Aigars Meri.
