At the winter solstice on Wednesday, December 21, at 7 p.m., a traditional Yule log night will take place in Ventspils. The Ventspils Theatre and members of the folklore group ‘Laipa’ invite everyone to join the celebration full of ancestral traditions, rituals, songs, dances and games.

On December 17, SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija” invites to a Christmas concert in the concert hall ‘Latvija’ in Ventspils. Due to the high demand, SIA “Kurzemes filharmonija” has announced an additional original author music evening concert by Linda Leen, which is to be held on 10 December at 4:00 PM in the Concert Hall “Latvija”.

On Saturday, November 26, at 5 p.m., Ventspils Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on the Big Square (Lielais laukums).

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the band “Otra Puse”, which will be celebrated with several concerts across Latvia. The band will give a concert in Ventspils on 26 November, at 7:00 PM, in the Theatre House “Jūras vārti”.
